Our process works!
When buying a new suit, it’s all about the “fit”. The same applies to finding a mate, a house, or a franchise to own. If the fit is wrong, it just won’t work out. What do we mean by “fit”? Although you may not realize it now, there are certain elements of business ownership that you would like and and with which you would do well. Perhaps you are good at managing people. Or creating marketing plans. Or working with your hands.
Conversely, there are elements of business ownership at which you would not excel, or which you would not enjoy. Cold calling customers might be one. But what if the business toward which you gravitate has one or more of these elements at which you do not excel? You probably will wish you hadn’t gotten involved with it in the first place. That’s where we come in. We know how to prevent that from happening. And we know how to help you find the right fit for you.
When you decide to work with us to identify a franchise that represents a good fit for you, we are going to lead you through a process that starts with a written evaluation, and is followed by a 1-2 hour interview which will help us identify the elements of business ownership that are, and are not, good fits for you. After we’ve developed the list of positive and negative elements, we will have defined your preferred business model. This enables us to introduce you to franchise businesses that are a close fit to that model.
Once you have selected a few franchise businesses that fit your preferred business model, we will introduce you to the franchise companies themselves, You will begin a dialogue with those franchises, and their franchisees, that will help you determine which of these franchises is the closest fit to what you seek. And at all times, we are there at your side helping you ferret out the information you need to make a good decision.
You will be given the franchisor’s Franchise Disclosure Document (referred to in our “FAQ” section). We will help you understand the implications of this document for you, and how it helps make the buying decision safer for you. We can help you with crucial financing decisions as well.
The key element in all of this is that you’ll be making your decisions based on the raw facts – not intuition, “gut”, or feelings. The facts are there – we help you find them, and help you stay objective about what is a very important decision.
With all of these tools at your disposal, and our help every step of the way, you will surely find the franchise that represents the very best fit for you.
Notice that the franchise has to fit you. If you go for a job interview, you have to fit the job. Franchise ownership gives you the opportunity to call the shots about what your business career, and your life, will “look like” over the next several years.
